Zamenhof day 2009.

There was a good turnout to celebrate Zamenhof's birthday. Zamenhof, who created the Esperanto Language would have been 150 this year.
After a brief talk in by the President, Roger Springer, the food and drink was shared and conversations in Esperanto were suddenly ubiquitous. Some new people who had learnt Esperanto over the internet came too which made a welcome change to the usual crowd.
There were also some newbies, who seemingly convinced by Joanne and other young members about how easy it is to learn and use Esperanto, declared an interest in learning. Lets hope they have the will to stay with it !
It was great to see Esperanto House full again.
